The Outdoor Program recently took a trip to the northeast area of Mount Rainier National Park. On Sunday, October 7, TOP staff led a group of Evergreen community members on a hike up around Burroughs Mountain. The journey gave the explorers spectacular views as the weather held out for them. From the top of Third Burroughs, the group was able to observe a 360-degree view of the National Park, complete with a brief glimpse of the Space Needle in Seattle. After a long day of hiking, which program lead Gabe Chavez deemed an “incredible success”, the travelers returned to campus.
